The Swan and Dolphin resorts are unique. They are the only two resorts on Disney property not owned and managed by Disney. While beautifully decorated, these hotels are not “themed” as
such. However, they offer the distinct value of being located in the well placed Epcot resort area with many of the Disney amenities like transportation, early entry to the parks, pass
purchase, and package delivery. What makes these resorts a prime choice is that, because they are not Disney per se, there are a variety of discounts (Entertainment coupon booklet, for example)
that bring these deluxe level rooms to a price comparable to moderate, and sometimes even value, resorts. Additional reasons to stay at either the Swan or Dolphin are
- Easy access to Epcot, MGM Disney Studios via boat and a quick walk to Fantasia Miniature Golf Park
- A total of 17 restaurants and lounges in the midst of both resorts, including Palio’s Italian Restaurant which gets rave local reviews and a character dinner at Gulliver’s as well as
character breakfasts at the Garden Grove Café
- A health club onsite
The Swan and Dolphin Resorts are considered of the deluxe flavor by Disney standards. The Swan has slightly larger beds. Two of the typical Disney services not offered here are special meal
accommodations at the restaurants and luggage delivery if changing resorts. Many rooms have balconies and a view of the Boardwalk and/or Epcot. Rooms sleep five if the fifth person is small.
Refrigerators and microwaves can be rented. Other deluxe amenities like coffee makers and ironing boards are included in the room.
