How about treating your family to the most extravagant Halloween party ever! Disney transforms the Magic Kingdom Park into a Halloween haven during selected dates in October. Get “decked out” in your finest, funnest costume and enjoy the spectacle of Halloween done Disney style! (Very child friendly---lots of fun and not too much fright!)
All throughout the park, there are “candy stops” and cast members will tempt you to “trick or treat” to your heart’s content! Not only are Mickey and the gang dressed up in their “not-too-creepy” costumes, but the night also includes treats for all the senses with events like “Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Parade”, a special edition fireworks display, dancing, pumpkin carving, story telling, face painting, and more. PLUS - Disney completes the night with the spooky ride of the “Headless Horseman!” Where else can you witness that?! Family portraits are offered free at several booths throughout the park and mailed to you at home. This is also a “limited ticket” event, which means that the wait for your favorite rides will be super short and sweet!
Our OLP researchers joined the party to bring you this pictorial review; >)
We began our own little personal party at the Boo castle where we shed our "day-to-day attire" and adorned ourselves in "Who We Really Are" Can you guess? Oooohhhhh, this place is SPOOKY; >) Check out the shadowlights on the grounds... Even the trees look like they are from "somewhere else" Is this a Halloween castle or what?! In Adventureland, we found fortunetellers... What a perfect activity for a full moon Hallow's Eve. We found a gypsy who looked just like a Boo; >) He ever so kindly posed with us:) and then it was time for the Boo To You Parade where all the l'il blessings get to be in their own parade with Disney characters... see how that is? and gypsy's get to dance and cavort:) Check out this coach we found in a pumpkin patch and two faerygodmothers right beside it... Imagine that! I think the BESTEST part of all was checking out all of the costumes. This little White Rabbit came with his dad (The Mad Hatter), his mom (Alice), his gramma (The Queen of Hearts), his little sister (the cheshire cat) and his baby sister (a singing flower) And look who else we found ALL IN A GROUP(?!) I'm already planning my attire for next year!

I love, love, love this event! I've been many times and I have as much fun as the first trip... even if I've been a dozen times. There's nothing like trick or treating around the Magic Kingdom! Seeing the characters in Halloween costumes. And the fireworks are the best.... oh wait, and the parade!

This years fireworks display, Hallowishes, was AMAZING!
I could watch it again and again... I really hope they do it again next year. The castle is transformed
The fireworks are coming OUT of the castle here
Does Disney know how to do"scary" fireworks, or what?!
This show gets a full on 5 stars from me
If you get yourself an advanced reservation for dining at Liberty Tree Tavern on the night you attend MNSSHP, you extend your Halloween:) All of the characters are dressed for the event, and you are right on hand for an entrance into the park as soon as the party starts!
